This group is looking at how development of housing and businesses can be managed in coming years for the benefit of the whole community.
As part of this, we are assessing the need for affordable housing for those with an established local connection, the housing needs of older resident who want to stay in Whittlesford and the mix of housing provided by commercial development.
There is limited space for development in the Parish, with nearly all open areas being in the green belt. We need to make the most of developments that do take place while retaining the essential rural nature of the parish, valued by residents.
The group is also looking at patterns of employment and self-employment for residents and ways in which suitable job creation might be supported.
